If you are an investor or developer with plans for construction, please help us to help you by giving us as much information about your project well in advance. One of the things we continue to emphasize is for you to advise us of your project needs upfront. The sooner you tell us about your concept and of the specific technical requirements, the sooner we can produce initial designs and are in a better position to meet your needs.
Developers are responsible for the provision of utility infrastructure within their development. This responsibility includes both electricity supply and street lighting. To install this supply and lighting system, the Corporation currently has two options:
- The Corporation can install the infrastructure and carry out all the required work. The cost of this option must be borne by the developer.
- With the approval of the Corporation; the developer can elect to use one of the approved electrical infrastructure contractors.
