- Builders are advised to confirm to BEC the preferred location of their service position if they are not sure where to place it. This is especially important when installing services underground.
- Builders are reminded that it is not desirable for service wires or cables to cross the property of others. Therefore the location of your service positions should be chosen to ensure that this does not happen.
- Builders are also advised to submit their Electrical Permit Application (also known as "Specifications") to the Ministry of Works as soon as the rough-in is installed in the building floor and the planned service position can be identified. This is important so that adequate time is allowed for the processing and construction of any service extensions in the event that they are required.
