This guide is designed to give advice to you, our present and prospective customers, on how to obtain electricity supply to your premises. We hope that this guide will provide you with the steps necessary to make it easier and quicker for B.E.C. to serve you.
The provision of electricity supply is an integral part of your overall planning, and it should be given the same attention you would give to the construction of your premises. Oftentimes persons are unaware of the Service Charges that may be required, only to discover the amount to be paid after it is too late to include it in their bank financing. As a result, there are little or no funds left over after paying contractors and architects, etc., to cover the Service Charge.
You should therefore pay particular attention at an early stage to the sections dealing with the Service Charge (Step 2).
